The Brave Stone
A peek inside
One quiet night, Victoria woke up suddenly. Her heart was beating fast, the room was dark, and she had just had another scary nightmare.
Tap… tap… tap. She knew that gentle knock anywhere. There stood Atlas, his emerald scales glowing softly in the moonlight. “I had a feeling you might need a friend tonight.”
“Dreams can only tell stories. They can’t climb out of your dream. They can’t hide under your bed. And they can’t follow you after you wake up.”
“Being brave doesn’t mean you’re never scared. It means you remember that you’re stronger than your fear.”
