“Rewards aren’t only about getting things. Sometimes the reward is hearing someone say, ‘I’m proud of you.’”
“We didn’t give up,” Victoria smiled. Violet held up her tiny apple. “I did it too!”
The chest might be empty — but the sisters were already carrying the most valuable treasures of all: confidence, perseverance, kindness, and the feeling of knowing, “I did it.”
